Federal Appropriations for 2011, as passed by Congress, did not allow for funding to provide office space or the position of coordinator to serve the Alamo RC&D Council. This is certainly not a reflection on the value of the RC&D program. Since the formation of the Alamo RC&D Area, there have been many great accomplishments. The strength of the RC&D program has always been the dedicated volunteers who serve on the board of directors. Alamo RC&D will continue to function and become stronger with time.

Consequently, Bertha Venegas will no longer be providing assistance to the Council on RC&D.  If you require local assistance on natural resource related problems, you may contact your local NRCS field office.

Melissa will continue to serve as Administrative Assistant in carrying out the Area Plan and its projects. The current phone number is 210-227-1373. Melissa will continue to receive e-mail at alamorcd@gmail.com. Along with a change in phone number, the council will be obtaining office space at a new location. You will be notified when the address change takes place.
